Dindi (Aashadhi Ekadashi ) Celebration
Aarya Public School, Madha celebrated Dindi with great enthusiasm on 11 July at school premises and Madha city. Students of school dressed in colorful traditional attire enthusiastically participated in a “Jal Dindi. ” This dindi was arranged to celebrate Aashadhi Ekadashi.
“Aashadhi Ekadashi” is an auspicious day of God Shri. Vitthal and festival of religious procession which is celebrated during the month of June- July. As per the Marathi calendar, it is Aashah Shukla Paksha. People consider the to eleventh days. And the eleventh day (bright) of Ashadh is known as Maha ( Great ) Ekadashi .
The ‘Jal Dindi’ started from Aarya Public School and end at Shri . vitthal Mandir Madha. As many 150 students participated in the dindi and anted, ‘Jai Hari Vitthal, Jai Jai Vitthal’.
All students celebrate this festival; students wore dresses like vitthal and Rukmini. Some students take Palakhi in hand and walked in Dindi. Some students having posters in their hand for the awareness of water in society. At Shivaji Chowk palkhi is worshiped by our school Principal Mr. Sagar Thorat Sir . Students played dance on Taal rhythm at Shivaji chowk. At last at Vitthal Mandir Lord Vitthala’s statue wrshiped by our school teachers. Class VIII- IX students played drama on awareness of water at Mandir. Bhajan And Bhakti Geet also sang by teacher and students.
