Mahatma Phule Jayanti Celebration
At Aarya public school the 191th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule is celebrated on 11 April 2019. It was the great time for all school members and students to give tribute to such good person in Indian history. All students were very much excited about this celebration.
In the morning, at assembly ground all the arrangement had done by the school’s non-teaching staff. On this day Mahatma Phule’s image worshiped by our school principal Mr. Sagar Thorat Sir and all teachers. The day was very enthusiastic for students. Some students had given speeches about Mahatma Phule and his work for society.
At last principal sir had given more information about Mahatma Phule to students as, "Tributes to Mahatma Phule on his Jayanti. His pioneering and relentless emphasis on social reform greatly helped the marginalized”. He was unwavering in his commitment towards improving the condition of women and furthering education among the youth. “Homage to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his birth anniversary. An iconic nation builder, his efforts towards social reform, women's education, and freedom from caste prejudice remain an inspiration for us”.
The Maharashtrian social reformer Phule and his wife Savitribai had opened first-ever school for Dalit girls in 1848 in Pune. Both couple work hard for progress of backward people in society. Phule also founded Satyashodhak Samaj to work for social reforms and spread of education among the Dalit. Students were exhorted to follow his ideals and values for harmony, social equity and progress in society.
